We are looking for a passionate school counselor to develop and implement a counseling program to assist students in their personal, social, and academic development. The school psychologist's responsibilities include conducting assessments to evaluate students' needs and ensuring students are encouraged to become productive and well-adjusted adults. You should be compassionate, patient, and adaptable. The school counselor should be prepared to assist any of our students with personal or academic issues.Key Responsibilities:    ●   Listening to students' concerns regarding social, academic, or personal circumstances. ● Providing students with support and guidance on how to deal with problems. ● Mediating and improving relationships between students, parents, and teachers. ● Counseling individuals and groups as required. ● Conducting assessments to determine students' strengths, weaknesses, interests, and aptitudes. ● Working with students to develop and improve their skill set.● Referring students to other support services and mental health professionals as needed.● Liaising with the schools Safeguarding Leads to ensure best provision for students including, where appropriate, important information about students is shared. ● Working with staff to help students receive the appropriate support in the classroom  A suitable qualification in Psychology  Experience, understanding and skills relevant to the specific responsibilities of the post.Effective  communication  skills  to  a  wide  range  of  people  (staff, parents, students) Effective organisational and management skills. Ability to make effective use of ICTThe applicant must have a strong working knowledge of English and be able to support students learning English.
